The end to 2015 has been a very busy one for STA. With the British Championships at the end of October, the London STOMP Championships held two weeks ago and regional Grading only last week, the students have had lots to train hard for.

The UK ITF British Champs, held at the K2 in Crawley, were a huge success and saw over 400 competitors compete from all over the UK and Europe (including Italy, Germany, Spain, Ireland & Holland). Thirteen of STA’s students were picked to compete by their instructors and they all justified their selection coming away with 11 Golds between them. It was a fantastic effort and all their hard training was made worth it. Below is a picture of eight-year-old, Patrick Partyka, landing one of his crunch left-hands in the final. It was his sixth Gold in his past five competitions, a fantastic achievement. Well done Patrick! And also pictured are some of our other medal winners and competitors too.

On the 14th November, twenty-six students from the club were invited to compete at UKITF’s ‘STOMP Championships’ at Brunel University. We had a mix of Generation X, Cadets and Junior students compete in both Patterns and Sparring and they all represented the club fantastically – giving their all and putting in some quite exceptional performances. Well done all!
